How Much Practice Time for International-School Kids?
Updated: 3 days ago
Short answer: for most kids, short daily practice beats occasional long sessions. Many families start around 10–20 minutes a day, then grow as focus allows — there is no single number for every child.
Why short and steady helps?
Frequent recall sticks better than cramming
Less fight against tiredness after a long school day
Your teacher can hear progress week to week in 1:1 lessons
Around exams and trips
During heavy exam weeks, shrink goals; during quieter weeks, add a favourite piece. At TIGA Studio, Teacher Aum (~20+ years) sets practice targets that fit Harrow-area / Rangsit intl-school life — studio at Muang Ek Project 4 or online.
